K44 Officer Paul Evans & K-9 Deeno

Officer Paul Evans & K-9 Deeno Hello, my name is Officer Paul Evans. I have been an Officer with the Little Rock Police Department for eight years. Prior to becoming a K-9 handler in June of 2004, I served as a patrolman for four years. I am proud to be the first African-American K-9 handler ever assigned to the Little Rock Police Department's K-9 unit.

My canines' name is Deeno. He is a six year old German Shepherd from the Czech Republic. Deeno is a dual purpose dog that is certified in Narcotics as well as patrol functions. He is able to detect four narcotic odors. We work the midnight shift and he is an excellent partner. I love his company and we try to look out for one another. I am confident when I go into dark buildings with him.

In my spare time, I enjoy exercising and various outdoor activities. My passion, however, is riding motorcycles. In Deeno's spare time, he enjoys sleeping and playing with the Miniature Schnauzer at home.
